Moving Kitty

So my little baby kitty has been at my parents forever, and I've not been there in the last eight years. It was decided that kitty should move down to NC with me, since my parents are planning to move and due to retirement have some serious travel plans in the next few months. No prob, drove up for Christmas, kitty would just ride back down. It's only an eight hour car ride.

First little bit was okay, kitty sat in my lap and was quiet. We stopped at a Starbuck for some juice to get us going. We get back on the road, and kitty starts climbing all over the junk piles in the back. Not good, so I pull him back onto my lap. He squirms a little, gives me a look, and... I believe the words I said to Chris were, "Eww, warm..." Yes, kitty did indeed have to go. And he went. So we are now in traffic, and the smell is... something. I have to open the window, which then leads to, "Eww, cold..." I'm really not sure which was worse. Twenty minutes later we make it to a rest stop. Kitty tries to climb the wheels this time, but it doesn't matter, I'm booking it for the bathroom. Luckily my pajama bottoms are easily reachable, unluckily they are green flannel with cat napping on them. And it definitely looks like I've had an accident as my butt & thighs are soaked. Yay.

I clean up and we continue on our way. We do try to get kitty to go a few more times, and the last time, when he jumps right back into Chris' truck, we decide that he's not going to go anywhere but when we stop at home. Of course about 20 minutes from said house, he gets up and starts crawling around again. I tried to avoid putting him in the travel box, but he was screwed, cause I did not want another wet lap. He cried the rest of the way, but I didn't get wet. He gets one day to recover before he meets the dog...
